No, Ken – please tell us what you really think! He hasn’t been a big fan of Gola wanting to join the Academy and swap her name and identity to Olga from the outset – see this page in particular. For those of you who came inn late, Freya is an empath, in addition to being able to manipulate emotions she is also able to sense them.

Does Ken’s hoverchair fit into an overhead compartment? 🙂
I did think about whether he should still be in the hover chair but decided that probably wasn’t a good idea with take off and landing… I figure they’ve stowed it somewhere easy to get to!
When you got a friend that is a telepath, if you can’t be 100% candid then you will never be able to manage the relationship, Olga knows how he feels about the situation, in likelyhood, so why bother hiding any of his feelings about it? I agree quite a bit with what Ken is saying too. I don’t really care for with this whole fake out she’s set up but if she was gonna do it, she should have done it clean. If this is the way she’s gonna act, then telling Ken and Mary was a mistake. Either pull away from your old life completely or accept it as a part of who you are and wear it proudly. She’s trying to straddle things and it’s not really fair to her friends. I also doubt that Gola really knows what she wants but when she was a old woman with her memories partially erased, her lifelong friends were her lifeline. Old ties can’t just be used when needed, only to be tossed when it’s a bit inconvenient.
Ken Spence! You write this guy very well. I realize he’s probably some archetype. Old soldier, tough, grumpy, doesn’t mince words. But I don’t mind, because he always rings true. The guy has emotions and you do a good job at conveying those to the reader. Look at panel 4!
BTW, today’s “Olga & Brelvis” is very funny!
Because visiting a prison to see the worst super villains who have committed atrocities beyond telling is supposed to be fun and relaxing.
I just figured it out! There is a polymorph on-board with them. Remember, the container always holds two…
Looks like they’re about to fly into a storm. Hopefully this won’t end up like Lost. 🙂
I am figuring that Freya just picked up Rose’s emotions from her little dream/nightmare that we saw in the previous page. That looked a little spooky to me.
Sorry, Freya, but at this point you should walk through the cabin and check up on the cadets: “Oh, Jemima, you say Montana-Rose just freaked out?” Hmm – maybe we better keep a close eye on Montana-Rose, the powerful witch.
But she’d just get distracted by the intense arrogance that Charisma emits. She’s the emotional equivalent of a masking tone, obscuring all around her.
Is arrogance an emotion?
Probably not… but I’d wager it would be driven by some kind of emotion.
I think arrogance would be a mix of emotions put in such a way that Charisma’s high levels of it would act as masking tone for empaths.
either someone had a brief scare, or someone was just killed. since they are all off to a relaxing vacation, it probably isn’t a scare. unless someone isn’t thrilled about seeing a bunch of super powered psychopaths.
Wow! I found your comic yesterday and have just finished reading through the whole thing! This is incredible! I rarely by webcomics in book form, but I would really love to buy this one! I don’t see anything on the site about buying books of the comic, so let me just say…I would love it if you decided to do books of it!
Hi Stephanie – thanks! There are no books… yet. Stay tuned in the next month or so for some developments on that front!
Just a small critique of your dialogue. Ken Spence is American (like me!), and we don’t say “jerking about”. We say “jerking around”. “Those crooks at the garage have been jerking me around with all the new repairs they’re telling me I need.”
Subtle but important – I’ll try to fix it when I get a moment. Thanks!
