As you may hopefully be aware, Otto is a Fassbender demon who has taken possession of the Doctor's hearse (or, as I like to call it The Spooky Mobile). This is what allows the hearse to appear to speak, float on smoke, drive itself, have glowy headlights, etc. Without the demon inside, the hearse is just a hearse. Until I started this story I had not considered what Otto (or a Fassbender demon) might look like. In fact, even as I wordked on page one of this story I still hadn't considered it. Admittedly I started this whole exercise without a lot of planning but as I finished page 1 it occurred to me that it would be exceptionally cool if Otto was coaxed out of the hearse's metal chassis and so started planning for exactly that to happen. The possession of Nina Svelte's hearse by a malevolent spirit and Dr Spooky's subsequent exorcism of it (in what I feel is an exceedingly cool visual moment, if I do say so myself) also helps lay the groundwork for Otto's coming out.
