Some pages pretty much write themselves… this one I really struggled with. I think I went through 5 or 6 drafts before I got a page I was happy with. It’s always tricky when there is a lot going on and a lot of characters and you need to get from A to B without it seeming too rushed but also not labored. Hopefully this page got it right. It’s certainly a lesson to me in making sure I maintain a story draft buffer… usually when I don’t have that buffer it’s these kind of pages that derail my update schedule and send me running off into hiatus until I can figure out how to work up the brainpower to deal with it. Phew! Hiatus dodged. This page follows on from the sequence between pages 6.258 and 6.264
