That wraps up this slice of Magellan history… and of course history did show that Nitro-Man ultimately became part of the International Justice Force that was established by super-hero Magellan, but that’s a story for another time! Gola mentions “Glamor” (aka Mary Jemmas) who you may be familiar with. She also mentions “Premonitia” (aka Karma Joffe – who was murdered by DragonKlaw and impersonated by Miasma in chapter 4) and the “Green Bishop” (aka Yuri Mantovic, who apparently gave himself a promotion to “Green Pope” at some later point). The next update takes us to 2010 at Magellan Island and will see some of the magic cadets in search of a lost friend…

Missed it last strip, but Nitro-Man has new goggles!
I wonder whether Green Bishop had to work his way up to Green Popehood? Did he spend time as Green Archbishop, and then Green Cardinal? 🙂
I’m pretty sure he leapfrogged straight into the green papacy!
I saw the newspaper. Will Magellan himself make an appearance in this story?
Well spotted! But sorry, no Magellan in this storyline. 🙂
Hey, super groups don’t just spontaneously form, they have to grow somehow. This is good background.
Nice slice of history, me likee!
She is stubborn. i like that.
‘A witch called “Glamor”‘
I giggled. Please tell me that was deliberate?
Glamor (aka Mary Gemmas) is indeed a silver age character of Magellan history. See her in action (along with Gola, Nitro-Man and Magellan) on page 4.04.
hmm, with all the excitement she’s in for she might get the best of two worlds, though she will have to deal with the worst first though.
This is always a tricky issue with superheroing. Is it ethical to leave your opponents alive if they cannot be reliably contained? I think I would adopt a “one free pass” system. First time I run into them, I don’t kill them. If they escape and hurt anyone in the process, they don’t receive the same mercy again.
