This page has a guest appearance by most of the members of the International Justice Force
– Victory-Man, Knuckleduster, Lady Lariat, Gizmo Girl and Chinese
Lantern - who were all originally introduced in December 2004 when the Magellan History originally ran.
Of these characters we know very little - Knuckleduster and Lady Lariat
had no enhanced abilities; Victory-Man had super powers of strength,
flight and invulnerability granted by a meteor; Chinese Lantern
uses enhanced chi chanelled through focus; Gizmo Girl creates fancy
gadgets (including ray guns) that work only for her.
This page is the first time we've ever seen these characters talking
and interacting. Hopefully not the last! One of the things I love about
working on Magellan is that,
from it's inception, it was always intended to be a vast superhero world where
there were heroes, villains and civillians of importance - from the past, present and, in the case of heroes, training
for the future. I didn't realise at the time but it gave me a vast
treasure trove to draw stories from.
