Due to an attempted server transfer/upgrade by Drunk Duck over the last few days Crossoverkill has either been reeeeaaaaaaallllllllllyyyyyyy slllllllloooooooowwwwwww to load or not loading at all. Currently we’re back to “slow”. Apologies! It was unfortunate to have it happen during the Magellan sequence and we suspended updates for a few days. The update that should have happened on Monday will now happen Wednesday… as some old Magellan villains rear their heads! Providing DD stays online the remaining updates will happen for the rest of this week and every week day next week. Please check it out!

Hoodoo debuts in Crossoverkill

HoodooHoodoo makes her first appearance in Crossoverkill today.

Unlike the other characters in this project (except for Captain Perfect), Hoodoo doesn’t have an eponymous webcomic and (like Captain Perfect) she’s a player in a huge cast. For that reason I asked for some indulgence to introduce her to Crossoverkill readers…and she’s doing it in style! Long time readers might be familiar with the robomat, and real fans might also know her special adversary… if not, no worries, links under the post will fill you in!

Although she was originally introduced at the end of the first Magellan chapter it was not until the fourth chapter – “Bad Karma” – that Hoodoo got the chance to shine. She had a blue themed costume back then and this is the debut of her scarlet threads! For everything else you might want to know about Hoodoo you can read it all here.

Crossoverkill arrives at Magellan

I know I’ve been very quiet on the Crossoverkill front for a while now – in large part that’s because I’ve been busily working away on a 13 page sequence that kicks off from today. That’s right… 13 pages in the Magellanverse. Having had it very easy over the last few months that this crossover has been running – sitting back and watching the awesome work by my fellow toonists roll in – it’s now my turn to step up to the batter’s block (or “crease” as we prefer to say in Australia)… GULP!

If you like Magellan then I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy this sequence which includes Energize, Mindmistress, Hoodoo, Force Magellan and some classic Magellan bad guys.

In order to fit all 13 pages into the schedule Crossoverkill will be updating Monday thru Friday this week and Monday thru Thursday for the next two weeks. Please check it out!

New character in Crossoverkill.

There’s a character featured in the latest (page 11) update of Crossoverkill who was designed by yours truly. The fabulous page was drawn by Nepath who normally does the honours on his own webcomics Energize and Fearless… my character, as yet nameless, is the short, big headed green haired girl (with cats ears!). Nepath did a great job in making her come across as quite unhinged, which she is! More on her and the other dopplegangers as the story progresses. I hope you’ve been following Crossoverkill so far, if not, don’t delay… start reading!

Crossoverkill – page 4

The fourth fantastic page is now online (I’m going to have to give up these superlative alliterations, aren’t I?).  It’s another splash page, this time featuring Hel from Sparkling Generation Valkyrie Yuuki – and it’s the debut for that particular character in a webcomic, although revealed by Kittyhawk (of SGVY) on her sketchblog, Hel is yet to appear in SGVY. Yuuki is, of course, one of the characters appearing in Crossoverkill, and although Kittyhawk has kindly allowed us to include Yuuki in this adventure she won’t have time to contribute pages to the project herself. This page was drawn instead by TV’s Mr Neil, the cartoonist for Daisen. (for those of you keeping score, Daisen featured in Crossoverlord – the previous Crossover event which Neil also contributed to). Stay tuned for more updates!
