You will find two of the images from the four shot have already been seen previously (see the murder of talk-show host John Daily on page 6.46 and the Master Assassin attempting to escape here. The images of the Master Assassin removing his nose and the phalanx of Character Assassins are new images. The Master Assassin as you may know (or not) believes he is living in a fictional universe and that all his woes and the weirdness of the world are the results of a Creator/Writer, that to breach the barriers between the fiction and reality the Alpha Character must die. He leads a cult known as the Character Assassins who have been seen mostly in imagined scenarios – however you can get the whole crazy show, including the Master Assassin’s first appearance here.

I was looking at the “powered by Scribol” ads on the left side of your webpage and have noticed images lifted from legitimate webcomics like “Evil Inc” being used to advertise something that is not them. The “Evil Inc” image supposedly led to something called “Slippery when Wet”. On a totally unrelated note,I really enjoy Magellan. I like your art and the story line is awesome.
Thanks! As for Sribol I don’t have much (any) say in what gets added there, usually one item will lead to a promotion for that and two other items so I’m not sure what that other problem would stem from.
Yeah, Scribol are pretty bad that way – there is a persistant Perry Bible Fellowship ripoff I’ve been noticing. I don’t know whether/how they police stolen content being advertised through them.
If they were really impossible, then they wouldn’t have happened. They were merely improbable.

Deep in my heart, I keep hoping that Master Assassin will grab that guys face, rip it off and find out that Xmung was using some sort of plastic mold face covering to hide his true identity.

that is one really, really messed up mind. i like young assassin’s skeptical realism. interesting that from one perspective he’s quite right, but from a more outside perspective old ass is (slightly) closer to the truth. i still want to know though why he ever thought that mutilating himself was in any way a good idea, or how exactly killing vertigo would give him power over the ‘creator’ who presumably wrote him doing it. incidentally, does he think he is in a book? a graphic novel? a movie or tv show? or perhaps a fantasy that hasn’t (yet) been committed to disc or paper?

This is a very interesting panel – and it still does not solve the Master Assassin’s paradox. His double may be right, and it may be flat-out wrong.
There’s no way to prove it, but this kind of counter-argument is the only one he might conceivably accept, and that is going to mess with him SO BAD…
I love the way that the default image on the scren is what the (old) Master Assassin is *just about* to do.

I know perfectly well that this is the character basically talking to himself and it certainly isnt the author but somehow I can’t quite succeed in disassociating young master assassin from xmung ^_^;
