This update! hmmm… techno failure… I wonder why…???
For those who came in late… despite first popping up in Chapter 4 this is the first time we’ve seen Polly Tenu use her shape shifting powers, essentially she can change into humanoid versions of creatures from her home dimension. We saw first year cadet Sun Moon here & here & here. The other two first years with her – JJ & Isina – have only had a small cameo to date in the final strip here.
Great page
Sneaky sneaky. “If you are forced in to a hostile encounter, feign weakness if you are sure to lose but also sure to escape. When your opponent faces you again, they will underestimate your potential.”
The Man Who Can is that powerful?
Not by himself, but then he has a bit of help at the moment…
i didn’t recognize polly. i assumed the bat girl was a new character. i suppose it happens a lot with shapeshifters.
if the man who can’s power kills command central, things are really going to get messy. if it kills ken’s chair, look out!
Will there be a reason Sun Moon is wearing a crash helmet?
Because all these hover disks and their drivers are falling down now!
Was wondering that 😀
There is a kind of reason, but it’s not relevant to the story and I changed my mind about the need for her to have it after I drew her putting it on.
Please don’t do that, you had a reason for having her wearing a helmet, even if it could be considered a stupid one, it made sense when you had her put the helmet on, don’t let how the readers will react to it to cause you to remove it
It was a fairly minor reason anyway… 🙂
It won’t do her a world of good if those missiles strike the island….!
can-man had better whip up some sort of mind shield if he survuves this. that’s twice now his powers have been coopted by evildoers. the first time was venom induced but perhaps he could still have used a shield to keep himself from receiving evil orders.
Yes, he’s not going to be very popular if his powers can be used against everyone so easily!
So it’s action-time, I guess. This is a good story. And BTW – are the missiles coming “though” or “through”?
Thanks, I’ll have to fix that!
It’s 2015, so I suppose it’s time to break out the hoverboards. 🙂
Aww crud! Time for the rookies to win the day
I know that the first priority for the ones on Locke Island is to save Vertigo, but it really should be getting The man who can, OFF the island, or at least cut from the Fluge’s control, maybe by shielding his mind.
Multiple priorities they shall have, mmm, yes!
