     I think it’s the “I’m so slow snails are catching up” problem… then making them huge so it’s an actual danger.

    hmmm, can’t it was a bad choice, though having some salt would have been nice. personally i would have stuck with someone who based their fears on real life trauma, much easier to predict.

    I suppose for a speedster, normal people seem to be snails and they’d have to keep alert to avoid running into them constantly (I feel that way sometimes myself and I’m just hyperactive.) I suppose Nadine has had a bad experience running into someone fat and squishy at high speed. Hey every traumatic experience can’t be high drama, some can be low comedy

    Fear for snails is crippling in itself. so she fears snails because they are disgusting or being so slow that they can get her.

    Srsly, no other animal gives me the creeps, except snails. (Mercifully its not the naked ones, they are much worse *shudder*)
