Hum, he was saying “géant” (should be easy even for the non-french in the audience) in that great big panel. It makes sense that he would free himself. What does he think the master assassin will give him.
I keep picturing Brainspike as a French Gary Coleman, for some reason.
Whatchoo talkin’bout, Dean?
Things just went from bad to worse for our heroes in training, didn’t they?
oh yes.
Aaack! It’s the Mekon! Where’s Dan???
Funny, now you mention it…!
What will Master Assassin decide???
BTW I read page 6.73 and was wondering if Anti-president should have some connection with the President in Crossoverkill?
Whatever he decides, I’d say Brainspike just made an enemy for life.
The Master Assassin won’t appreciate being lumped in with the ‘abominations of nature’…
Good thought, but I think you’ll see why not as both stories develop further!
Oh, dear. o_o Not to say: Oh, crap.
I suppose it was too much to hope for that only the heroic people were being freed.
Brainspike just became a lot scarier to me. And now we can see why he was thinking ‘Giant’; he is a mental giant, perfectly capable of utilizing this chaos for his own purposes. Who wants to bet he’s keeping his hooks in the mind of every prisoner he wakes up, turning the lot of them into his personal army of evil?
looks like both sides are gearing up for a fight, though considering that there’s only one person free enough to do anything useful (at least for now) on the evil team i think the heroes i training will have an edge, though i think they will need it.
if brainspike is just planning to pull masass out of his body like kaycee and the others, there is a serious fight brewing. on the other hand if he is going to actually wake masass up, the heroes and staff – and most especially vertigo – are in deep, deep trouble. and a space pickle may be their only hope! could the class be about to get much, much smaller?
Ah yes… I love the Young Assassin’s quip in panel two… it’s true, too, isn’t it?
So we are led to believe!
Damn.. the prison will turn into chaos soon i bet.
Interessing insight of the master assassin’s mind. so his other himself.. is his selfdoubt and the hidden truth?
Maybe, but maybe it’s just his self-doubt. He may be insane, or he may actually have stumbled on a terrible truth. Who can tell?
Spotted a typo in Brainspike’s 2nd balloon, panel 3. “Cesser” is infinitive, not imperative. The proper imperative would be “Cessez!”
great page
This can actually work for the Master Assassin. If Brain Spike can pop him loose then it will resolve his fear/doubt that he is the creator. especially if he says yes to pop him loose and then actively resists the action.
