As it was Vostok who said that the fluge can save Vertigo, Epoch sure is daft to 1) come to the conclusion it can’t be done 2) assume the solution is in the physical plane. The possibility to get her mind out of the body is, quite literally, clearly visible. I expected everyone (maybe except for Epoch) to see that. Heh, nice pun, brain.
I sort of expected Kaycee, who have a knack for thinking ahead and outside the box, to arrive at the next step: keep her around in the astral plane, or get her mind into a body that is not dying. It almost seems like Vostok was handing her a chance to shine. I sure hope he takes a liking to Olga, rather than the opposite, because of her being able to think…
I am thinking more along the lines: “Taking the fludges power and focussing it on healing Vertigo.”
That way the fludge would be stopped and vertigo save. And everyone back in thier body,
Your comment suddenly made me realize another avenue: Vlax’s power can be used to heal and rejuvenate by harnessing psychic energy, no? Maybe Gola’s proposal will be to attempt to coerce Vlax to use her powers to mend Vertigo’s body psychically. A VERY long shot, but it strikes me as the sort of plan Gola would make, while the plan of letting Vertigo live on in Astral Form is more of a Kaycee plan.
Nice idea but Vlax can only use the energy to rejuvenate herself.
Dream-killer! . . . hey, that’s a neat idea for a supe’s name . . .
But nice work on the colouring, Grace! I hope the “holiday” season doesn’t add any more stress to your life! Good luck.
I’m taking a short vacation (summer down here, remember? 🙂 ) so I’m feeling the least stressed I’ve felt in a while! I even wrote a whole page without a deadline looming over my head… now to go write a few more and start drawing them up!!
As long as the story is moving forward, take your time with the colour. I so want to find out what happens.
The problem is that Epoch will have little reason to listen to a first year cadet; he doesn’t know her true identity, and Twilight is sworn to secrecy.
Bozhe-moi,wasn’t that a phrase also used by Captain Gloval from the first segment of a complex anime series known as Robotech?
Dunno about that, but it’s also what Natasha Romanov says when she get’s her assignment to bring in Bruce Banner from the cold. 🙂
It’s… a fairly common phrase in the ‘real world’ as well
