Families/Cемьи 06
The sixth page of a new voting incentive storyline Families/Cемьи is now available!
Schedule? In case you’re wondering, I’m doing four weekly updates of this story per month, with the first update of each month timed to resynchronise with Top Webcomics monthly reset.
SPOILERS AHEAD – read the update first before reading what I’ve written below.
Mind your station: It appears that Red Vlad and Comrade Katya are slowly starting to feel the soviet leash tighten around their necks. Will that stop them from doing something rash? No!!
By voting you not only get a new page of this story (and access to past pages) but you help raise Magellan’s profile and help potential new readers find us. Once you’re through you’ll also get links to previous pages.
Next update: Wednesday April 15… intervention?
Cruel. Well, if you want disloyal and distrustful super soldiers, that still do your bidding but probably to the least possible extent… I guess you have your formula. I wish you the worst of luck.
The problem with controlling someone with fear is that sooner or later, continuing being controlled starts to look worse than what he feared.
What’s this about unmaking them “with the press of a button”? It seems like just a bluff, although there’s probably no way Vlad could be sure?
Honestly, this is a dumb move on their handlers’ part. Pay them some lip service, let them see the kid, but stall for time and make an excuse that they’re afraid the baby’s form might be unstable or something given his switched-off invulnerability. By doing this, they just ensured they got two pissed-off superpowered parents. As far as unmaking them, I say that’s a sheer bluff. Unless they’ve got someone the level of Evil Weevil on their side, there’s no way to figure out a way to undo their superpowers, and depowering them would be idiotic, leaving their precious Soviet Union without any defenders whatsoever.
Reference for Evil Weevil removing superpowers? I’ve seen that mentioned before, but I can’t recall it coming up in the comic 😕
I think it’s been taken out, but back when there was detailed pages on each of the members of The Victorious, there was a reference to Victory-Man permanently losing his powers when Evil Weevil found a way to remove them. Don’t know if it’s still considered canon or not.
Looks like it might have been before I started reading in 2006, but your hint, and a little bit of searching, helped me turn up this page

Bozhe moi! To think I’ve been missing that for fourteen years!😵 And there’s some other old timey goodies if you follow back to Magellan Mythos and the old link buttons 🙂 Much Thanks!
Grace, you GOTTA bring this stuff back!
Yeah, I totally forgot about some of that very old stuff over there – gonna have to deal with it, update it and move onto the main site – maybe that can be a side project for Easter. Magellan has been around for 16 years now and on several platforms (Comic Genesis, Graphic Smash, Webcomics Nation, CrossOverKill, MagellanVerse.com) there’s already so much stuff here but lots of bits and pieces all over the place (or published and unpublished when GS and WCN imploded).
This will be sad if it is going where I think it is. But it will be sad either way.
