I kinda agree at this point Olga doesn’t really know what she wants or who she is. Outside of the fact she feels she needs the training that’ll come from being a Megallan Student.
Yes, it feels almost like this was her “default choice” rather than what was the best decision she could have made. She knows she wants to be a superhero again, saw Magellan as a way to do that, and just decided right off the bat that changing her identity and becoming a cadet was the best choice. Now, granted, it’s made for interesting storytelling but it might not have been the right option for her had she sat down and given other options more thoughts i.e. private tutoring off the island, retaining her identity as Gola while making her physical and mental changes publicly known, or things like that.
