Maybe a revised Mavrick costume should have
1) Some sort of back of the head impact padding, even if it’s a spring mesh that is disguised as hair.
2) Nomex layered thermal insulation inclusion in face mask, that could counter a direct boiler plate strike.
Agreed on both accounts. The original Maverick mask is aesthetically pleasing but “pretty” doesn’t count for a whole lot when you’ve only got the toughness of an ordinary human being and getting concussions is a daily threat. A helmet with a LOT of padding would be a much better option.
