Assuming she did the same thing most supervillains did and was able to break multiple times out of prison, all that keeping Vlax alive did was allow her to sow more chaos, misery, and death. And at the end of it all, what have you got? An old woman who has lived a full life ugly and wicked down to the core of her being who doesn’t regret a single whit of it.
I’d love to hear her rationalize that statement.
