In hindsight, “I don’t think so!” is not the wisest choice of words here. I think Fatima interpreted that as Kaycee not thinking it would work. It is always safest – at least when some amount of language barrier may exist – to use the words that directly say what you mean, in this case “I don’t want that” or jumping straight to “That is not appropriate”.
