I really rooted for Maya here.
Cassie is an easy person to lack sympathy for, but this page made it easy for me to see how Maya turned into Miasma with just a little change in the timeline. She *seems* like she’s on a better path now (but you see how ruthless she can be). Kind of ironic how the motivating impetus for that change is related to her evil chroner self.
She’s also making an enemies list for little reason.
Sure, Cassie had it coming. But Kaycee? The only thing she did to Maya was… attempt to rescue her boyfriend from the dragon.
…super hope she got zero future in doing the evil thing…
Hopefully, the mind-merge inside Montana-Rose’s head will help her to play nicely with others. Was she part of that, like Charisma was/will be?

AT the moment I’m working on getting the pages back. I decided I wanted to rejig the pages (main benefit being a larger pixel width). But it’s taking a bit longer to get done amongst everything else going on. Trying to ensure 100 pages a week. Once the pages are back I’ll start adding my commentary. I haven’t figured out yet how to extract and add old comments from readers, but if I can I certainly will.
The insight from your old comments will be appreciated, but please don’t go insane over restoring everything. Before old comments, I’d love new content more. Xd
Rereading the old story chunks is surprisingly good. Like an archive binge where you are stopped before spending the night reading…
so.. rebuild taking way more than couple of weeks, 4 weeks later we are still 11 years behind
Assuming 100 pages each Sunday I think we will back to normal in 6 or 7 weeks. So yes, more than a couple (but not more than 10 times more, which is the math and engineering rule of thumb for “way more” 😀 ). And re-reading the archives is a great way to pass the time, especially so with the updated page quality in the first chapters! 🙂

It’s understandable. It’s relatable. But you really should’ve just told the teachers yourself, rather than… this. 🙁
I made some comments on previous pages but they didn’t come up. Can you only make comments on the current page and not backtrack?
I thought I remembered posting to an older page before (since the rebuild) but darned if I can remember which one :/ I tested today by writing one to page 291, and although I got an internal server error (maybe due to Chrome?), the comment still posted. So you should be able to.
Grace, does Maya have any thought-reading ability of any variety? I know she’s a very different kind of telepath, but I’ve always wondered.
That would be worth looking into, but for the most part she’s pushing the ideas into the minds of others…otherwise she would have known Gola was having doubts in the bunker illusion, etc.
