She’s pretty confident she got rid of the energy field. What if she’s wrong, but the Euros think she’s right and try to fly into the ship?
I’d guess that the energy field is gone, but its disruption triggers another aetheirc pulse from the device, or some even nastier response.

*thinking* It has been established (though I don’t remember where) that when Charisma performed as a pop star, it happened (more than once IIRC) that Sista Superior showed up and burned her clothes off of her on stage. Should be loads of pictures of that in-universe, and I have a nagging feeling I’ve even seen one, somewhere, somehow.
Kaycee is probably just barely enough of a celebrity to be on the paparazzi radar, and she is rarely naked. If you scour the Magellanverse internet the closest you could find is probably some photo where she’s surfing. Give it another year or two and there will be fakes, I presume.
(this was an instance of the rare reverse perverse mind, I couldn’t help myself, just had to think through the “realistically, what’s there” aspect of it for no good reason)
There used to be a miscellaneous comic where it detailed just that scenario of Sista Superior crashing one of Charisma’s concerts and frying off her clothes. Perhaps Grace will restore it during a hiatus one of these days. Funnily enough Charisma didn’t seem all that shocked or embarrassed about fighting in the nude, much as she didn’t when Gaius hijacked Gabby and fried her clothes off as well! I’m sure some fans would have taken pics and video during that event.
Yes, will have to restore it as some point.
I hope the Contessa didn’t just recharge the weapon for them.
That’s a good guess on exactly how this goes awry (I concur with Xero, within 2 strips EM’s ship will be on the ground as seen on page 8).

Since two years ago, Magellan has been more than half as old as me. In another couple years (not sure exactly) I will have been reading it for more than half my life!
Grace Crowley: You’re simplistic yet engaging style of drawing would make Magellan tailor-made for an animated series.
But your violence level and language content would relegate it to a NETFLIX series.
That is my (probably highly unobtainable) biggest hope!!

There’s a mark on the chunk of pavement behind Olaf’s head, makes him look like he has a moustache… it makes me giggle.

I don’t see a mustache, neither do I see a mark on the pavement/concrete. I see Olaf’s eyebrow.
Maybe. The Soul Sphere distorts the shape of his head so much, it’s hard to tell where his eyes are. Still think it looks like a moustache, though.
Sadly it is only his eyebrow… 🙂

Happy Anniversary, Magellan! I’ve been reading since I THINK Buying The Stairway to Heaven. Binge read it, including a three day spree of Bad Karma in the middle of a very hot summer. My gift to you for the seventeenth anniversary was updating some of the tropes on TV Tropes! Goodness but I love that website.
