Der Rote Verteidiger vs Rarg: Maybe that Rarg spaceship is tougher than it looks! So Der Rote Verteidiger (The Red Defender) is an upper level flying brick but certainly not in the same category as Epoch. Could Epoch (RIP) have made a dent in the Rarg spacecraft though…?
Also, thanks to Patrons Lightwind and Lisa C for guidance on the German Big Red s using.

I may be half German by lineage, but I know so little of it. Still, I recognized a little here, like the cursing in panel 2 (but most people know that one, I’d think). Panel 4 is “I (something) you (something).” And I assume panel 3 is “harder”, because that makes the most sense.
At some point I really need to learn a second language, and German has always been interesting to me. I should stop being lazy, in other words.
I decided to try out my camera translator thingie, it is harder, and I’m going to destroy you.
I will destroy you.
“werden” is a future tense modifier. I will, you will, etc… The modified verb(zerstören) gets stuck at the end of the sentence in the infinitive form, which German loves to do.
As a German who has regularly voiced constructive critique towards dear Xmung, I may gladky tell everyone that this page’s German is totally okay! Yippieyeah!
Roter is saying in the final panel “I will destroy you!”, btw. before he says “Shit” and “Harder”.
Also, Rote just might take too long to get through, and give the Rarg time to recharge…
The corporation’s station disturbed the Rarg WITHIN Jupiter’s upper atmosphere, and they seem to prefer gas giants. So, not too surprising that their spacecraft is tough.
At least the atmospheric pressure inside their spacesuits isn’t so high that opening them would be like a bomb going off.
PS–punch it, kick it, shout at it…Red Defender can has the weirding way now? 😀
Beings that live in gas giants wouldn’t have to be in high-pressure suits. If they lived in the upper atmosphere, the pressure could be comparable with Earth’s. Composition would be much different, though. 12% O2 would probably be poisonous.
I love Olaf’s head, just hanging there…
