PaRARGdox 120
Oh, hey, remember Paradoximan?: Very handy for Kaycee to make this connection, yes? Anyway, Paradoximan, of the EuroMagellan squad deployed to the ground, was last seen in a fairly perilous way on pages 7.108-9. You’d be forgiven for forgetting since that all happened before my extended hiatus, but there’s your catch-up. What does Paradoximan do, you may well ask, and the best answer is that he can cast anomalies (or shift probabilities right off the scale) that hold together in the face of logic.
Patrons: Over on Patreon page 123 is now up – page 124 is mostly drawn, should be soon…
Next update: Friday September 3, 2021 (sorry, gonna be a couple of days late… almost finished) : The ParadoxiPlan!!
Oh. Did any of our speculation include this? Not that I remember. Very interesting 🙂
It was brought up before. Might have been in the Patron comments.
Patreon ;p
We speculated on the possibility that Hans might be able to enhance Ambrosia’s powers, but I don’t recall Paradoximan ever being suggested. Pourque no los dos? If Hans was able to save P-man’s life, and protect him from the attacking Rarg, then they’ll probably still be together.
*raises hand*
But then, I spitballed a LOT of different theories.
May as well just call me Mender Silos . . .
IIRC you mentioned Paradoximan several times with some interesting theories, but I don’t remember you mentioning timeline paradoxes in any of that. My memory is not known to be reliable though.

Also, Rochelle is doing something pointless. And pointing it out. For untold reasons! I wonder if Kaycee noticed that no reason was given.
‘It’s not like I have an undisclosed reason for doing this or anything.’
B-baka?
(Honestly, if anyone were calling Kaycee ‘stupid’, it’d be Rochelle.)
I don’t think Rochelle could bring herself to do that. I think Kaycee might be the only person, other than Mindmistress, that Rochelle considers not stupid. And it is clear that Rochelle values this very highly. It might just be the basis for less rational parts of the brain eventually getting into high gear.
Or Rochelle thinks she may need Kaycee’s help
Ok, does my theory about Rochelle having “a thing” for Kaycee seem plausible NOW!?
I still consider it a future thing, but from this moment I consider the writing on the wall to be very clear.
“Rochelle, one of my alters had half their face burnt off by a red-hot iron plate, and was still fighting bad guys. I think I can cope with scratches and bruises.”
quite honestly, i thought the solution would have been that singularity we know is going to form
Time dilation near the event horizon of a black hole means that (for forward time moving creatures), 60 seconds for a person near the event horizon can be years or longer for an observer outside the event horizon. For a person who moves backwards in time, same thing can theoretically be true. (antimatter for example can be mathematically described as normal matter moving backwards in time, and it is certainly affected by time dialation)
so a 60 second jump back near the event horizon of a black hole SHOULD allow one to go back years if needed.
As hinted on this page, they may need something more than just prolong the time. It’s possible both the black hole AND the Paradoximan will come handy
But if Rochelle needs an evisceration which would be slow, wouldn’t Ambrosia just ‘see’ it in time to avoid it or go through another sequence of shadow dance with Rochelle where she is the victim.
Not according to Rochelle’s calculations, which are probably trustworthy 😉
If it works in the predicted way, what would be an otherwise mortal wound will still allow Ambrosia to timeslip, only to a point several hours in her objective past due to the boost from the counter-temporal energies around her vital center. This neatly saves the current timeline by dint of it being a *reset* and Ambrosia can warn the people who need to know of the potential future in time for it to be changed. “In theory.”
I note that a “reset” is contra-indicated by the events shown at the end of p9 and in p10.
