Bit of bad form though, explaining why they’re pushing through an event horizon when in five minutes it wont make a damn bit of difference to us what their reasons were.

Bad form? Is it not standard supervillain protocol to explain the reasons why you’re about to kill people in the last minutes before you do?
Well, a monologuing is mostly to explain your plans in intricate detail so that your victims know exactly what piece of the Jenga tower to pull out to make it collapse spectacularly, then leaving them in a death trap unobserved so that they can easily escape and wreck your plans with the information you just gave them.
You dont ”have” to say why they were put into a death trap, it is just assumed that you want them dead.
Oh, no, don’t tell us that the reason Rarg attacks is because something humans did. Always blaming humans.
I mean, we know it was triggered by the Jupiter(?) expedition. Don’t know if it was them showing up, or if they parked on a batch of eggs.
yup. the mining definitively destroyed a nursery and a species as vindictive as the rarg would surely want to genocide for that
I mean… We already know the Rargs were provoked by something humans did. It looks like it might have been worse than we previously thought, but from what we know about Rargs it seems they would have gone berserk even if it wasn’t
I was ok with the idea that Rargs attacked because they found out we exists.
