The calculus has to be: With Charisma helping can the three of them lift the Rarrg ship? While Charisma can help evacuate, her powers aren’t suited for it. They are suited for catching a partly-disabled spaceship. And setting this ship down away from Magellan Island’s population centers has clear advantages in the expected ground combat that will follow.
I don’t think even all three would be able to do anything else than just slow it down.

Is that ship falling very, very slowly? I know it’s superhero comics, but that’s just like… a lot of conversation while on their way to catch something described as something they need to “slow”. It already sees like it must be drifting slowly downwards.

Obviously the anti-grav engines are damaged and failing, but not destroyed. The Rarg are probably bouncing between trying to stay in the air and making a controlled crash, depending on which voices in their collective consciousness are screaming loudest at the moment.

I always find it weird when somebody’s brain works like mine does, although I suppose it has the upside of increasing the odds that we’ll get peanut butter cookie dough chocolate ice cream.

I know, right? And yet I’ve never found it, not even by invoking Google and going through pages of results. It’s all just chocolate chip cookie dough, which is nice and all but I crave peanutty sustenance!
Blue Bell has released it a couple of times that I know of. You could try reaching out to them to see if and when they plan to release it again. It might have been replaced in their rotating releases by Chocolate Peanut Butter Overload, which is similar but also has little chocolate covered peanut butter cups in it.
I think all it’ll take is one voice in the crowd going: “But if we -crash- than we can splat some humans! Full speed ahead!”
And then there would be consensus.
Haven’t added it into the narrative (yet) but the ship still has much of its anti-grav working (which allowed it to ‘hover’ to begin with)… lucky for them or it would have hit the ground much faster. 🙂
