Don’t miss leg day!: Charisma to the rescue… who would have thunk it???
Reintroducing Marco, who we first met way back on page 7.15! (Thanks to the Patrons for pointing out I was using the wrong version of his name on the first iterations of this page).
By the way, we’ve seen a similar transmuting spell, in Bad Karma page 4.100… that one by Chang was steel-to-mercury, and if you might notice the inscription for that incantation is different to the one being used by Yasmeen for that very reason!
Patrons: Page 7.200 is now up on Patreon… 7.201 published soon…
Next update: April 30, 2023: Speedsters!
Yay!
Even while being a true hero, Charisma’s rep may suffer a bit. But we’ll see how grateful Bobbi is later . . . assuming the world doesn’t still go SPLAT anyway.
🙊
Stay tuned! 😉
. . .
Are you one-a them Patrion things? Getting sneak-peaks of future pages, Michael?
Who? ME??😲 Do I look like some kind of spy?😤
There’s very little sneaking involved in my line of work 🙃
Personally, I like seeing this side of Charisma. It shows she really does belong here at Magellan, not just because of her powers, or parents, but on her own merits.
And clearly, she either passed “Snappy Banter” class, or will do pretty well if it’s a later year thing. “Never skip leg day”, indeed.
I don’t see the difference between the glass-to-water and steel-to-mercury spells. Except for a tiny bit of scaling and antialiasing, they seem the same to me.
I don’t see it either. We probably need more studying before casting it.
I also don’t think there’s a real difference.
Well, mercury is toxic, so there is that. “Mad as a hatter”, and all.
It shows how much control Charisma has over her powers in that she can throw Bobbi a fair distance and have her land without injury, a must-have for any flying brick type.
On a completely different matter, is Bobbi a mutated human like Go!Anna, a demon, or from a completely different world we’ve never heard of before?
I’m gonna go with extra-dimensional, given she looks like a bighorn version of a faun.
Charisma is physically capable of saving people, of course. Problem is, she’s not very experienced with the people-facing side of heroism – she needs more practice ‘being nice’. Hasn’t quite nailed that part down, I see. Still, good first show, three stars, would want to not die, but maybe someone nicer could rescue me next time?
When it comes to superhero lifesaving, any port in a storm.
I doubt there are may people who really would have appreciated Wombat-Man’s help, except for the fact they’re alive still.
