PaRARGdox 42
Action stations: Just quickly catching up on Rochelle, Fatima and Sioni… this is what happens when you’re in the middle of something and the RED ALERT drops!
“Don’t poop in your own pool” – the actual PerNian saying is waaaay more grandiose and broader in scope, but essentially acknowledges that… amongst a race of sea dwelling creatures where everything poops in the water… there is still a time, and most notably, a place for such things! I added this to helpfully explain why Fatima finds the idea of… eh, you get the idea!
Fast Club – for those of you who missed it, Nadine is indeed now a member of the speedster only Fast Club. That happened in Legacy. This bit of info from Sioni by way of letting you know PaRARGdox happens after the events of Legacy.
Patreon: By the way, should it be a thing that interests you, my Magellan patrons over at Patreon have been getting full previews three updates ahead of schedule. And you can too for as little as $1 a month… 😎
Families/Cемьи: Page 14 is now online. Page 15 will go up on Wednesday June 17, about 6pm Sydney/3am New York time. Stay tuned! By voting you not only get a new page of this story but you help raise Magellan’s profile and help potential new readers find us.
Next update: Sunday, June 21, 2020: Meanwhile… Charisma and Kaycee on Largo Island…
Nice saying, it logical & makes sense.
…where else do they poop?
In Giant Clams maybe?? 🙂
Thanks for the link! Very educational!
Not cool, Sioni. For all he knows, some of Fatima’s best friends might be trench-dwelling crustaceans!
Oh Sioni… will you EVER learn?
Why oh WHY would he bet against the super-genius? You poor doomed fool…
Fatima: Oh, Scioni, that is a most foollike gambling you make!
Scioni: So, you’re with Rochelle on this one?
Fatima: Is safest gambling! Also, crustacean humanoids in Marinas Trench follow strict regimen of diets and exercises for prevents obeseness, as everyones know!
lol – that’s right, Sioni!!
Sioni had better gear up for some intense cleaning time… if they can find a way to stop the end of the world, that is.
Here’s to seeing Sioni enjoying the “perks” of his promotion while performing extra cleaning duty in the not distant future. Peace and long life 🍻
If ANYONE’S going to become a villain in this timeline due to becoming disenfranchised and angry, it’s gonna be Sioni at this rate.
Poor guy.
That would be quite the Face-Heel Turn!! 😀
Nadine, you’re not supposed to brag about the secret club to all your friends.
Oh, she’s allowed to talk about it… just not the… um… details!
Sun – *pointing* “Really!? Hey, whatcha think they’re trying to…” WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP “🤬”
😅
Statistically speaking, extraterrestrial invasions are the most likely invaders of Magellan? Interesting. There must have been a bunch of alien invasions then. The last two attacks on the island, while involving a different planet and Astral planes, were run by earthling villains. So, at least 3 alien invasions are needed to make it the most likely , probably more.
Well, Rochelle did say it’s in the last 25 years. Considering in this comic we’ve only seen 3 years of threats, maybe alien invasions were much more common in the 22 years prior. I mean, there are quite a few alien species who are known to the public, and not all of them would have been discovered through peaceful means.
Exactly. I was curious which of the various aliens we’ve seen are failed conquerors who hung around.
There’s also the statistical prediction model which offers that “we know this many aliens species exist, and that this many are hostile. Of these hostile species, they are known to consider us threats or targets for these reasons. Factoring in this contextual information, we increase the probability over time to account for social, psychological, and cultural incentives.”
Grace, there’s an extra “have” in the first speech bubble…
Darn! Thanks for the heads up – I’ll fix it some time today. Cheers
Thinking about the “Ambrosia as Spy” theory some more *
If she WERE an agent for a hostile entity, why would she deliberately seek out and engage Olga, who would be the greatest threat to her secret? Perhaps she might, if she was confident in her ‘guarded mind’ not leaking anything, just as a test. Then she could feel secure about an interrogation session with Freya.
* Just to throw some gas on the conspiracy fire 😇I don’t believe any of it for a second…
maybe a few deciseconds 😉
Because Olga’s been flagged as a potential Alpha Character.
Correct – this comic showed the Master Assassin categorizing six students – Olga, Kaycee, and the four magic-users that triggered the Lock(e)down – as potential Alpha Characters, and noting that he needed a mole within the student body. Ambrosia could be that mole, although it would be odd of the Master Assassin to pick a mole with a power that would merit such close supervision by the Magellan faculty.
OTOH, her timeship ability would be great if her cover story slipped – give her an opportunity to try a different answer, or avoid whatever situation got her in trouble.
Don’t forget, Charisma – while “a clichè” – was also placed in the Alpha Folder! Plus, the Master Assassin spoke of having not just a mole but a “disciple”. 🙂
… ok, I see these three ARE speculating while running. (See previous comics for context.)
