Exposed: Managed to get the page slated for Monday ready sooner than expected, so here we are with an almost on time Sunday update! Everything will hopefully be back to the regular schedule.
In case you’ve been wondering how much time has passed since the pulse… not much. Consider the last several pages as overlapping to some degree.
Jasmeen, who is a witch, can’t do spells, so that should answer questions about magic users’ powers. They might not detain evil mages, et al at Locke Island in the Magellanverse, but there is a facility, and they have magical dampers and countermeasures there, sooooo it’s not unheard of…

…I wonder if there’s anyone on Magellan Island that habitually disables their own powers so they don’t have to manage them 24/7? I mean, if I were Cyclops from X-Men, and there was even a backpack sized personal power damper, I would probably be wearing one whenever I wasn’t saving the world/training to save the world…
I suspect quite a few Marvel types would… the Thing, Hulk, the guy who vomits acid…
On Magellan, maybe Gabby? But I think we’ve seen her deal with her fire breath by just wearing a mask.
She doesn’t NEED the mask herself. The mask is for others and may not be necessary outside.

There have been several story lines in various media where Rogue is trying supress or even lose her power.

Having your powers dampered might not be comfortable … or without long-term risks. Also, Cyclops seem quite ok with his special glasses (he has ones for actual combat and ones more comfortable but still blocking his powers for casual wear).
