This isn’t good at all. While the Rarg have the high ground, the Magellans are sitting ducks waiting for slaughter. I hope Rochelle and the others think of a way to counterattack once some manner of defense has been achieved.
Most superpowers and all electronics gone… Do they have some old flak cannons or unguided rocket launchers in stock?
It might be hard to get to the armoury now, if it’s still there.
How ‘old’ would they need to be? Anything reliant on electronic components may be vulnerable to the same EMP that took out the comms – potentially including anything which ignites its propellant electronically rather than by mechanical means.
Not anything reliant on electronic components. unshielded Transistors are vulnerable to EMPs. Vacuum tubes are fine for similar but bulky functionally though EMPs not strong enough to melt them structurally. There are likely other technologies similarly resistant among other species.
When someone starts screaming “Get under cover now!”, the correct response is NOT to sneer and ask “Who put YOU in charge?”
Especially when the person looks like they know more about the situation/have higher rank than you do. In the case of Rochelle, both conditions are very true.
Olga: I think I remember you. You had the most powerful mind in the Locke Island mindscape last year, well the most powerful that isn’t a telepath of some form.

Looking at Yasmeen… I just realized that Magellan has long sleeve uniform shirts for those whose religion requires it, as well as uniform Hijabs.
Okay, theory time, Ambrosia was there when the Singularity Device activated. She was with Olga at the time. Olga may be powerless, but she could help Ambrosia time slip six hours into the past to at least warn the heroes about what was going to happen and how to prepare.
