“Defenestration” is one of my favourite words.
Eh, Schlock Mercenary uses “SKOOM” as the sound of an antimatter explosion. Tagon’s heard it enough times to recognize one by the sound.
I got to thinking I had seen CHOOM recently, so I was searching around my usual haunts, and I eventually found where I *probably* saw it – in The Specialists, from two weeks ago https://thespecialistscomic.com/comic/page-398/
– but I also found it has a couple of suspect slang meanings 😅

If what looks like an anti-tank rocket (from what looks like an RPG-7 style weapon) doesn’t turn a human-looking target into a fine, unidentifiable red mist, then something is seriously wrong and the organic fertilizer has hit the bladed air circulation device.
Unless Sista Superior’s face is really armour-rated at greater than 500 mm (20 in) of rolled homogeneous armour plate, the lowest penetration rating of the RPG-7 warheads…
oh, she’s one tough dame. Even so, her head might be ringing after that one.
also that range is too short for the warhead to properly arm, it would still explode, but it wouldn’t be a shaped charge by the time that would happen…
That is a ROCKET-propelled grenade. Even if the grenade part does not explode, the rocket is still going to pack quite a punch.
