Leap frog or piggyback: Â I couldn’t resist dropping that little pun in there! As you can see, once She-Hog got over her initial doubts she’s in full swing as her training kicks in. Full-Metal Frog is likewise… ahem… leaping into action!
Patrons: Over on Patreon page 100 is now up… sorry, page 101 probably won’t go up until the weekend.
Next update: Sunday February 7, 2021: Going down…
Grace, your puns are too fun.
This is all on them…
Yeah, was kinda thinking . . . “publicity for this stunt will be a bit of an issue to clean up, assuming there’s a tomorrow.”
I’m guessing most employees weren’t informed of their bosses actions, so… yeah. Eh. I’m sure a rampage through the building during the rescue will dig up enough dirt on Prometheus to take care of that.
I’m wondering about that
Sure, in a world with supers, a tech company could reasonably have a high voltage fence and heavily armed security force, and conduct a secret launch and operation of a deep space mission, but how far can a company really go before the rank and file start to suspect something’s not right?
surely no further than a company where employees don’t have time to take piss breaks? (Even without the potential for HR having mind control powers.)
(Not saying it’s not awful – but sometimes employers have their employees over a “disgusting-minimum-wage” barrel and it’s easier to turn a blind eye than risk not just firing, but firing out of a literal cannon.)
Or hey, maybe they have great employee relations and are great to their staff, buying loyalty with superior perqs instead of desperation, fear, or mind control.
Or the employees are largely anti-meta folks too.
one could argue that “sharing values in common” is part of “great employee relations”? 😀
Grace, I would love to see a throw down between She-Hog and Wombat Man. And I imagine that even the Epochs could get the wind knocked out of them by the Hog, no? Granted, she would have a hard time hitting them, I imagine
Key point there: “‘High voltage?’ Tickles.”
Epoch’s weakness is electricity, as I recall.
GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING:
My sister has a farm. She’s had pigs on it. She doesn’t LIKE having pigs on it.
Pigs have a tendency to do whatever they please.
Her boyfriend was putting the pigs down for slaughter and was hitting them in the head with a hammer to daze them, then popping their jugulars for a quick drain.
The largest hog, however, took two blows from the regular hammer, and -didn’t even seem to notice!- It took a sledgehammer before that one was dazed enough to finish off.
Charisma can be knocked out by electricity, but that has something to do with the fact that she is technically only half-brick. Grace mentioned once years ago that Billy, a full brick, can shrug off electricity, which means that daddy Epoch probably can as well. Interesting to know though, that apparently pigs can take a beating!
Ever see a boar spear? It’s a spear for hunting wild pigs. It has a cross-piece about a third or so up the shaft from the head, because wild boars are so tough and mean that they will run right up the shaft to murder the person in the process of murdering them, unless stopped by the spear itself.
TL;DR: Pigs/boars are meaner and tougher than you think. No matter how mean and tough you think they are already.
Amusingly, I’ve heard tell that no matter how delicious you think pork is, it’s even more delicious than that!
See, there’s tell of a bit of research in which it was discovered that once a wolf had tasted wild boar, that wolf would pass up easier prey in favour of the far more dangerous boars. It tastes so good that wolves are willing to not only ignore what’s effectively a free lunch just for another taste of that sweet, sweet (salty) bacony (and deadly) goodness.
This may be the behavior behind eating spicy food – food that has tried to kill you just tastes better.
Knock knock. So subtle, I like it.
Does Magellan have a class on one liners because SheHog seems to be really good at them
While I am loath to discount the hilarious idea of a Repartee class (I mean, there’s a class on Costume Design, so Why Not), it seems more likely that SH is just naturally witty.
REPARTEE would probably be an Optional Elective that’s only offered when there’s enough interest to fill the class. For extra fun, they pull in Guest Lecturers from other realities (Hellooo Deadpool 🤣)
They never actually invite Deadpool as a guest lecturer; well technically they did during the nuclear chimichanga fiasco but that was really just poor wording on Epochs part.
He just kind of shows up every now and then, teaches the students until security chases him away and then they spend the next 20 minutes figuring out which broom closet DP shoved the actual guest lecturer in.
That would be so funny!
It’s an elective.
I <3 She-Hog so much. Like, more every panel. I vote for her to be the ACTUAL "Main Character" the Master Character Assassin is searching for. (She doesn't have to be the main character of the series! Just the main character of this universe. I mean, it split off once already due to time shenanigans, who's to say it can't get crazier?)
I have to say, She-Hog is quickly becoming one of my favourite Magellan graduates. ^_^
