The quarth all look like they were ripped in half. Strange biology or a cursed wound so bad it hit all their species?
This is unknown, but I think it is more likely to be the latter than the former…
Something that cemented Magellan as absolutely AWESOME in my mind is the existence of diverse demons. I do wonder how they classify an entity as “demon” versus simply “extraplanar,” but nonetheless the existence of creatures that are typically maligned against while not being malicious is a wonderful and integral part of the Magellanverse. Something that speaks to the queer experience, possibly.
