Some more backstory on the Master Assassin… the purpose for Locke Island is to incarcerate the criminals who, because of their powers and abilities are a threat to others and a high risk of escape in a normal prison. Obviously the Wolfgang Kruger didn’t fit that bill back at the start of his ‘career’ as the Master Assassin so has never faced incarceration at Locke Island before now.

I love a good obsession wall. All he’s lacking are the candles and words scrawled in blood…
Yeah, this worries me – Obsessing over the Assassin is not a good sign. Possibly he is a closet cult member. Keeping clippings is bad enough, but to frame and hang them? Yikes!
We need more of this maniac, although I’m not quite sure why he killed that npc reporter guy… So, Xmung, have you entered into any of this guys dreams to talk with him over the past 20 years and laugh at how everything he’s doing is following your grand plan? You should tell him the future and then laugh at him when you make him fail at trying to alter it.
Maybe you are the reason why he was planning to kill Verdigo but then you screwed him over by sending those future people back in time to mess up his plans. Yep, he is like Black Mage from 8-Bit Theater. He’s the universe’s bitch.
Wait until you hear why he cut off his ears, nose, etc… that won’t be for a while but we’ll get to it!
i for one have been waiting for such ever since you mentioned him doing so. at the time you said that you’d dive into it later, but for then he is just crazy.
Ooh, a down and out sci fi author. Hopefully he invented some cool sci fi gizmos to help him on his mad quest. I vote lightsabers. Those are as awesome as swords and lasers combined!
Does a rocket throne count?
Indeed it does!
There’s quite a difference in the size of the Master Assassin’s right eyeball between frames 1 and 2…
“And then your tyranny with me will cease…”
Because, frustrated by the death of your main character, you’ll drop the story and his world will cease to exist.
Wait, that doesn’t sound good.
perhaps the creator will just let the world run its natural course?
I see Hoodoo is still pregnant! Is it “perfectly” obvious as to who’s the father? “Perfect” indeed…!
I’d certainly hope she was still be pregnant, in Magellan time only a few hours have passed since we saw her last in this story.
I hope someone would catch what the captain said about the “perfect” candidate as to who is the father of Hoodoo’s child?
Ooh, I call inside man, assassin guy didn’t kill him!
What I love most about the Master Assasin is how flawed his ideals are he doesn’t realize that even if he divines the Alpha Character and kills, him her or it. He doesn’t realize that the creator could just make a new alpha character. He also doesn’t realize that the Creator could simply cause him to fail and if he did succeed it would be to add to the Creators story.
Yes, he is sadly delusional!
And of course it never crossed his mind that if the Creator wanted, they could just come up with another Alpha Character. That’s how spin-offs are created.
Even putting aside spin-offs, I really don’t see how Kruger expects to divine the alpha character. Really, safer just to kill everybody. He’ll get the right one eventually…
That doesn’t conform with his theories though, as he explained in Crossoverkill.
Indeed, he mentions in Crossoverkill (here) that a pin-point strike on the Alpha Character is required to “breach the fourth wall”… just as well, otherwise he’d just send out a fewd dozen nukes and hope for the best.
He’s just an arrogant nutter. I wonder what caused him to have such delusions of grandeur to think that he and he alone moved beyond his station as npc and that he could move beyond the script the creator wrote for him?
I assume that Mr. Hernandez’s medical condition is a result of Kruger
Maaaaaybe…
I’m really not sure why a DA has an office on Locke. I guess I’ve forgotten; do they hold trials here too?
Yes, because of the dangerous nature of many of the villains captured, many of them are detained at Locke Island while they await trial – rather than risking their escape during their transfer back to the jurisdiction in which they were captured/their crime was committed, they are tried on Locke Island which has International multi-jurisdictional coverage.
Check out Charisma_E Tweets (specifically May 7) where she describes the trial of Sista Superior which was held on Locke Island.
How can he carry that much hate to his creator? and why does he hate you? did you say something bad about his mother? xD
but i like him since he is pretty insane and insane villains are the best than the sane ones.
Will Brelvis reunite with his human father?
stay tuned…
Xmung, I just wanted to say that I think the creation of the Character Assassins was very inspired. ^^ They’re so interesting, in addition to being completely horrible.
A question: did you know there used to be a character named ‘Wombatman’ in a cartoon titled ‘Captain N: the game master’, and if so, did he influence your Wombatman’s character at all?
Thanks! As you might imagine, there’ll be more of them in this story. As for Wombat-Man, I can’t say I’ve heard of that game but I imagine the name itself is fairly obvious fodder in many ways. I in fact came up with (my version of) the idea for him waaaay back in the ’90s. Back then he was just a solo operator and really just a one off joke character – I never actually drew him in any adventures but used him in a series of illustrations for a class in cartooning that I was teaching at the time. For a while I also tried to think of a companion/side-kick and came up with “Goanna” once I realised I didn’t strictly need a “bird themed” name (ala “Robin”) to fit the bill. Again, I did nothing more with the concept, it just stayed in my head for a few years… can’t even remember if I’d designed a costume or decided on a gender. When I later started developing Magellan I decided to fold Wombat-Man and Goanna into the story – after designing Go!Anna she quickly became integral to the story and Woms took a slightly more back seat role.
