Due to “even more reasons” it took me waaaaay too long to get the second half of Bad Karma onto ISSUU.
As noted in a previous post, the full 300+ pages of Bad Karma was too big for my ISSUU account. My solution was to chop the story into two seperate volumes… part 1 and part 2. While a decent idea, it required me to put together a new intro, new internal and jacket art and text. (Technically, I didn’t have to, but I chose to.)
Anyway, here is part 2! Now to finalise Worst Field Trip Ever, Buying the Stairway to Heaven, Redux, Olga & Brelvis, Dr Spooky & the Case of the Missing Corpse, and much more!
While I find reading ISSUU publications in full screen from a desktop, laptop, or largish tablet device to be a good comic “book” reading experience your mileage may vary. Hope you enjoy it!
Crazy as it may seem… next year – March 2024 – will mark 20 years since I kicked off Magellan! This is, no doubt, a momentous occasion but, because I’m somewhat crap at celebrating anniversaries – even my own birthday – it’s one I’m not quite sure how to mark just yet!
Sure, the obvious milestone… getting to the end of PaRARGdox… would be a start! I’d also like to have recommenced and finished the Epoch Family vote incentive series… which I so unceremoniously dumped into hiatus back during one of the COVID lockdowns.
However something more significant is obviously called for. But what?
I know some readers have been here since the start, some have come and gone (maybe even more than once!), some have only just recently joined in. But for everyone who has read the comic and enjoyed it over the months and years, I’m hugely appreciative!
This post is simply an acknowledgement of an impending anniversary… and my intention to celebrate it somehow. Stay tuned!!!
As you probably noticed, I’m (slowly) publishing Magellan chapters and stories as collected volume ebooks on Issuu. This process is a stepping stone to (finally) printing those books. For the moment, it’s an extra way that people can access and read the comic, particularly for those not into the “download-page-by-page” process of webcomics. Right now, I’m finalising Bad Karma (part 2) – that is, from pages 151 through 300.
Since I’m designing these volumes as if they were physical books, I’m including back covers – which have several short non-spoiler quotes by readers about the comic and/or story.
For example, here are the quotes from the back jacket of The Great Leap Forward…
